Rattan Woman: An Indigenous Folktale from Cambodia
This folktale is a traditional story from the Bunong indigenous group in northeastern Cambodia. For this publication, it was told by Bunong storyteller Kna Bar and transcribed and translated by the Mondulkiri Resource and Documentation Center (MRDC) in Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia. Each page features illustrations in hand-cut paper and watercolor by Lauren Iida as well as English and Khmer language text. This book is published by 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Antipodes Collective. The sale of this book directly supports the MRDC and allows The Antipodes Collective to distribute it for free to underprivileged children in Cambodia.
