Journey to rural eastern Cambodia where the plows are pulled by water buffalo and the rice is harvested one tedious handful at a time. Meet the men who bear the scars of war and their children who work alongside them while optimistically looking toward the future.
Next, travel through the nightscape of bustling Phnom Penh, a vibrant city newly emerging from devastation of the 1970s. Set to a backdrop of rich, traditional Khmer music, this film is a feast for the senses and a glimpse into a different world.
Lauren Iida debuted this film at the Cornish College of the Arts EXPO ‘13 in Seattle.
