Traditional Khmer 2 stringed acoustic "bass" called the Chapey
The Khmer Magic Music Bus came to Pum Prey Village to visit our students at our learning center. We had a wonderful day of singing, dancing, comedy, and learning about the Khmer traditional performing arts.

Engaging the Senses with Music and Art

Recently, volunteers Vincent, Corrine, and Tomoko generously donated a guitar to our library.

Chris has been playing songs for the kids and they now know two songs in English.

It's remarkable how much music helps the children remember the words in English.

We have found the same thing is true when we use our art projects to teach English.

The children spend a lot of time meticulously drawing their subject and then we use the images to initiate English language lessons.

By engaging the senses through music and art our students learn so quickly!
