As we near our one year anniversary, we wanted to share all the excitement of our journey with you. Enjoy!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ALL OF US IN PUM PREY VILLAGE!
The Khmer Magic Music Bus's mission is
"To restore Cambodia's rich musical heritage, one village at a time."
We have found the same thing is true when we use our art projects to teach English.
The children spend a lot of time meticulously drawing their subject and then we use the images to initiate English language lessons.
By engaging the senses through music and art our students learn so quickly!
This time of year is when the annual fish harvest takes place in Prasot village. Families pump out the water from their ponds and remove the fish by hand!
We are looking forward to another week at The Little Library starting tomorrow!
We will be joined by new volunteers and visitors, Tomoko, Greg, and Catharine from Seattle!
Can you imagine watching a child hold a crayon for the first time?
The children we teach in rural Cambodia have not had this privilege before now.
Generous Seattleite Mary N. turned her annual Christmas tree lighting party into an event to contribute to our art classes for children in rural Cambodia.
THANK YOU Mary and friends!
